I'll introduce practical tips and skills as we demystify camping. Don't worry if you've never been camping before, this session will give you the confidence to set off on your first trip. We'll cover: *Choosing a location to camp - either within a campsite, our out in the wild *What equipment you need, what you don't, and how to choose between them, including tents, cooking gear and clothing *Pros and cons of different sleeping bags and beds *Basic firelighting and fire management tutorial *Setting up a basic tent properly *Instruction on 2 or 3 essential knots that'll help you out *Carving tent pegs from scratch *Taking everything down and packing it away Please bring a packed lunch and snacks if needed. Dress for all weathers - the session runs even if it's raining! If you have a small tent you want to practice with you can bring it, but don't worry if you don't have one - I'll provide all the gear you need. Suitable for total beginners - this is a fun and no-pressure environment so you don't need any existing knowledge. The woodland kettle will be simmering all day with tea, coffee and water provided. There's parking on site and a composting loo as well. This is a private tuition woodland experience for 1-3 people (fixed fee). PLEASE ENQUIRE FOR DATES TO SUIT YOU
