About the event

PART 1 - AXES

We'll cover

  • How to choose an axe
  • Anatomy of an axe
  • Safety
  • Splitting wood - 4 different techniques
  • Cross cutting logs into sections
  • Splitting long logs
  • Care and mantenance

Once we get splitting you won't want to stop! It's really therapeutic :)

PART 2 - KNOTs

We'll cover 6-7 knots which are really useful for being in the outdoors and are also easy to learn. I'll give you a handout to take away and practice.

Most importantly, we'll set up a tarp shelter as a practical reminder of where these knots come into play.

Parking is available on site. Tea & coffee will be available all day. Please bring your pwn packed lunch.

Suitable for beginners. All equipment and materials needed will be provided.
