We'll travel on a pre-determined route around Coombe Hill, a viewing point on the Ridgeway national trail. I'll show you the man features and icons of the OS map, how to orient the map to the same view as your environment, and most importantly, how to take a compass bearing and then follow it to reach your destination!

Parking is available at the car park, which is where we'll meet and begin our walk.

You will need to bring a compass with a rotating bezel and OS Explorer map 181. I'll supply the route outline before the course.
