About the Event

We'll make arrows  using woodland materials and primitive techniques.

These are the primitive weapons that would have been used to hunt thousands of years ago. You'll get to take your primitive weapons home with you.

Suitable for total beginners - I'll guide you through every step. All equipment and materials needed will be provided.

Topics covered will be:

*Wood selection and harvesting

*Stond tip shaping

*Nock carving

*Binding and tying

*Primitive glue making

*Fletching (feather flights)

If we have time we'll use my homemade longbow to fire your arrow into a target!

Parking is available on site. There is a rain shelter, a basic composting loo.

Hot water, tea & coffee will be available all day. Please bring your own packed lunch.

The site is a private woodland in South Buckinghamshre near HP16 0RT - detailed instructions will be provided after booking.

Best suited for ages 16+ due to the intricate work required.
