About the event
We'll start with some freshly cut small logs and by the end of the day have turned them into a Swedish style butter knife that you can take home with you.Â
We'll cover  how to carve basic shapes and and learn how to hold and use the knife in several different techniques and grips. Â
Suitable for complete beginners. No prior experience is needed in this friendly atmosphere. All equipment you need will be provided on the day.
Tea and coffee will be available all day from the camp kettle!
This course is aimed at ages 16+.

A small private woodland near Great Hampden, a village in the heart of the Chilterns.
A nearby postcode is HP16 9RQ.
Nearest motorway is M40 junction 4.

What to bring
Bring warm layers and waterproof clothing - we have a parachute shelter but the course will run rain or shine!
The course is self catering and we'll have a short break for you to eat - you are welcome to use the camp fire to heat up food if you wish (please bring your own pan, plate and cutlery). You can also use hot water from the camp kettle.
