Contact me to open up custom dates for your private experience! We wouldn't be here if our ancestors couldn't control fire yet today any of us don't have basic skills to light fire in any weather conditions and use it for warmth and cooking. We'll cover: *Theory of fire *Wood selection *Gathering tinder and kindling *Wood processing - splitting wood with knives to create kindling *Demonstration of the 6 methods of fire ignition *You'll have a go at lighting fire with fire steels and flint and steels *Creating different fire lays to manage and maintain the fire *Clear down and leave no trace No prior experience is needed and I welcome complete beginners. All equipment you need will be provided on the day. This course is aimed at adults (16+). The exact location will be sent to you after booking - it is a small woodland near Speen, Great Hampden and Princes Risborough (postcode area HP27). Bring waterproof clothing - we have a parachute shelter but the course will run rain or shine! The woodland kettle will be simmering all day with tea, coffee and water provided. There's parking on site and a composting loo as well. This is a private tuition woodland experience for 1-3 people (fixed fee). PLEASE ENQUIRE FOR DATES TO SUIT YOU
